A Conversation With Djuna Bel
By Abigail Pyke
We sat down with Djuna Bel ahead of the event she's hosting with us at goop Lab in Los Angeles to discuss wellness and style, topics she is definitely well-versed in. Model/stylist/true LA woman, Djuna does it all, jetting off to exciting locales, helping her clients find the perfect look, and topping it all off with being a mother. Keep reading for our interview with one of our favorite LA it girls.
Q: Travelling back and forth between LA and NYC is part of your work as a stylist -- what would you say are the main differences between the cities' two workout styles?
A: I think the two cities used to have more of a difference in workout styles -- NYC was all about quick cardio classes and LA was all about the yoga and meditation. Recently, I feel like the two coasts have merged and it's pretty equal. Although, you can't really beat the amount of steps you log in NYC.
Q: How would you style Ernest Leoty pieces for an LA woman's wardrobe?
A: The pieces are so universal -- they're great workout pieces, but look equally chic paired with jeans or trousers.
Q: What does wellness mean to you, and how do you make sure you incorporate it into your daily routine?
A: Wellness means being good to your mind and body. I'm a huge advocate of moderation.
Q: What's your favorite wellness trend at the moment?
A: I love adaptogens. I make myself a sun potion/moon juice tincture in the morning that has macuna, ashwaganda, reishi, and a bunch of other things like collagen to help balance my energy and my mood and keep my skin supple -- fingers crossed!
Join us on June 6th from 6:30 to 8:30PM at goop Lab at Brentwood Country Mart in LA, where Djuna will host our trunk show and styling event. No RSVP necessary. Click here for the address.
