Brunch Hour:
Le Marais
By Abigail Pyke
Continuing on from our last Leoty Life post about our top picks on the Left Bank of Paris, we’re sharing brunch in our favorite stylish neighborhood on the Right Bank: Le Marais.
Filled with stylish little boutiques and glamorous designer shops, le Marais is the perfect blend of old and new, elegant and contemporary, complete with busy thoroughfares intertwined with the cobblestoned quiet back streets. This is where we find some of our best brunch spots, for a perfect Sunday morning wandering about the district.
Season: 1, rue Charles Francois Dupuis
For an indulgent offering of healthier brunch staples, look no further than Season, a local favorite for good reason. Their wide range of brunchtime classics like French toast, pancakes, tartines, and acai bowls, is hosted in their supremely photogenic interiors: light and calming, perfect for a Sunday morning’s chat over the previous week’s happenings with your group. Our brunch pick? Green pancakes with a cappuccino.
Wild and the Moon: 55, rue Charlot
For our healthiest choice for those on the go, we choose Wild and the Moon every time. Their selection is not only guilt free, but they boast a menu that is plant-based, organic, and gluten free, with zero additives and zero plastic used. Our choice for a quick brunch before hitting the streets is their Skin Glow smoothie with acai, and a matcha bar to go.
Fragments Espresso Bar: 76, rue des Tournelles
For beautiful rustic interiors and a passion for great coffee, we love Fragments, an espresso-centric spot tucked down a quieter street in the Marais. Ideal for gazing out of their windows at passers-by with a perfectly-pulled shot and an avocado toast, we love the simplicity of their menu, with their focus on doing the few items offered extremely well. This relaxed spot is a must for us, even if only for a quick coffee to go.
Your Marais Uniform: Charlotte Hoodie in Ivory
Go for an effortless look that mixes in the elegance of the area, and focus on relaxed styles with luxe details. Our pick is our Charlotte Hoodie in Ivory, crafted and spun from ultrafine merino wool, the perfect layering piece for popping in and out of boutiques and galleries. Its relaxed shape pairs well with a classic pair of jeans or our Corset Legging, or a more pulled-together option like a chic spring-friendly skirt with timeless loafers.
