Hikes in the Angeles forest

When we think of Los Angeles, we think of sunshine year round, and the chance to always be in touch with nature. Take the queue from Djuna and head right to the outdoors when you arrive, particularly to the Angeles National Forest, a vast space in Greater LA, home to numerous trails and peaks to explore. Djuna's pick? "I really like Cloudburst," she told us. "It's usually quiet and peaceful, and the air feels so clear."

A high intensity Pilates class

Once you've had your fill of the outdoors, make like an Angeleno and head to one of the many unique pilates and fitness studios the city has to offer. "I'm pretty obsessed with Lagree Pilates" Djuna tells us. Lagree is a popular studio in LA, offering a wide range of high intensity workout classes. If you're looking for something a little more niche, Djuna suggests heading to one of their smaller studios in Glendale: "I go to a place called Motivate... it's a bit of a trek, but that's where my favorite teachers teach. It ruins me, but also clears my head and makes me feel really strong and sexy."

New restaurants

Hippo in Highland park is a restaurant that Djuna can't recommend enough. Beautiful Italian pastas meets fresh LA taste in this new hotspot. "I can't get enough of the Hamachi Crudo and the sweet corn cappellacci," she shares, "I highly recommend!" Incorporating the best ingredients available, this is a true LA take on good food.

Thanks again to Djuna for hosting our trunk show and styling event at goop Lab in Brentwood on June 6th -- another one of our favorite picks in Los Angeles, particularly for great shopping. Don't miss our other post with Djuna, where we discuss coast to coast workout styles, and what wellness means to her.
