An elegant ‘Large Room’ at The Ned
The Ned, a hotel-members’ club hybrid, is the latest offering from Soho House founder Nick Jones. Housed in the old Midland Bank headquarters in the heart of London’s financial district, it retains many of the building’s original features such as the safe deposit boxes on the walls of the subterranean vault. There are ten restaurants, multiple bars, two pools, a spa, a gym and a barber shop spread throughout 11 floors, giving you very little need to step outside the luxurious confines of the hotel. On the other hand, should you wish for a bit of fresh air, head up to the eighth floor where you can take in views of London’s spectacular skyline from the heated pool, or bar.

The Courtyard at Chiltern Firehouse
Housed in a reappointed fire station in the heart of London's Marylebone, the Chiltern Firehouse exudes Hollywood glamour. Significantly smaller than some of the other hotels on this list, there are a mere 26 beautifully restored bedrooms and suites. During your stay at the Firehouse, you’ll have access to your own personal concierge, making it seem like you’re in a private residence rather than a hotel. Other amenities you’ll want to take advantage of include the beautiful courtyard, wine cellar, and a secret smoking lounge. The impressive exterior of The Curtain hotel, Shoreditch
With its exposed brick walls, warehouse-style windows and hardwood floors, The Curtain has an industrial-chic vibe reminiscent of New York City. Unsurprising maybe given that its owner, Michael Achenbaum, is the proprietor of legendary hip Hotel Gansevoort in Manhattan’s meatpacking district. This Shoreditch hotel and members’ club has 120 rooms, three restaurants—including the first outpost of famed soul food hotspot Red Rooster—eight bars, a 24-hour gym, underground spa, and a heated roof-top pool to rival that of neighbouring Shoreditch House. In an interview with Evening Standard last year, Achenbaum said the company wants to maintain ‘a presence of powerful and successful females as a focus of our membership’.
